This is totally non-MFP related but do any of you have any home remedies for eczema? I can't take my prescription ointment for it for awhile and need some ideas. Google got me nowhere
Curious to see if anyone has any insight!

I’m not sure what your dairy consumption is like but my brothers eczema disappeared when he eliminated it from his diet completely.2

I battle it constantly and winter is hell for me. When it gets bad I have to take steroid shots.
I can only use baby Aveeno lotion on my eyelids or they get swollen. I've recently discovered an amazing cream that I use on my face as well as my hands. It's amazing!

Do you find it only rears its head when the temperatures plummet? Mostly confined to the area between your fingers and on your knuckle joints?0 -

I get it on my eyelids, around my mouth, on one side of my neck, my wrists, fingers, and arms.0 -
Honey and tea tree oil can really help. The link below usd for a DIY cream I love.

There are great brands on Amazon but a tad pricey.
Also, wondering if you use a lot of fragranced products (soaps, laundry detergent, etc..) I find they can really irritate my skin.
When I'm not flared up I use anything - but right now I'm reverting back to gentler options. At this rate I'll be back to using only Aveeno and Cetaphil pretty soon. It seems to help a little but I don't think it's my main trigger.
I'll try the honey and tea tree!1 -

I've heard of FAB and this makes me tempted to give it a try -
I use shea butter a little more than coconut oil - although I love coconut oil for shaving.1 -

I use to get it on my hands and between my fingers so sooo bad!.. i found my cure completely by accident when i gave up sugar.
I didnt even realize at that time that it was the sugar causing it until i crashed and went off diet and started putting sugar in my coffee or eating baked goods etc. But it finally occured to me after the umpteenth time.. everytime i eat sugary foods my hands break out really bad! And when i cut out all the sugar, ..in just a matter of days.. the skin clears up and its comletely gone.
So, now, i just have to remind myself that i am.. litterally.. allergic to sugar!0
