Hello!

After a couple of years hiatus from the gym, I am once again trying to get myself motived and back on the fitness track! An Exhale studio just opened across the street from me and I am contemplating trying out some of their classes. I have never taken a barre class before and I know this is their specialty. Has anyone here taken any of the Exhale classes? If so, do you have any suggestions on ones to take for a newbie basically just starting out? Or that I should stay away from until I get better acclimated? And do you feel that these classes will help to get me back in shape? I've heard mixed feelings about the overall success of barre.

Thank you!!

I would wander over to the studio and ask them these questions. Of course they’ll tell you it’s a great idea, but they also should be able to direct you an appropriate class and offer suggestive to pace yourself to build up. For any new exercise class, talk to the instructor before class, tell them your concerns /questions , and learn how to pace yourself do you don’t overdo it.

There should be beginner , multi level & advanced classes . Opt for beginner & tell the instructor it's your 1st time . I just did a barre class today - only started one month back.
