Help me!

I hardly ever work out. It's terrible. I do try to take walks every so often but I want to do more. But I don't really know where to start. What kind of work outs should I do? Are there any fitness/workout apps you guys love to use? Help a girl out, please!

Hi, I think you should focus on your needs and goals first. Also what kind of workouts/exercises you prefer or like to do. İt should be a long journey so sustainability is very important. Start what you like first and more challenges later. I prefer group workouts, more fun :)

You walk "every so often", why don't you walk every day? You want to do more? go on line, do a search for a body weight exercise program, a dumbbell exercise program (if you have or will buy dumbbells), or any other program that you think might suit your fancy and do it. After a fair trial if you like it, continue, if you don't, try another. FitnessBlender.com has a fine set of exercises for all abilities. The only thing stopping you is you. Pick a cliché of your choice, Just Do It, et al. make it your mantra get moving. I like Strong Lifts 5x5 but that requires a weight set or gym membership with barbells. I mentioned FitnessBlender, there are several body weight routines available on line. Pick one and do it.

There's no obligation to "work out". You don't have to and it's not "terrible" that you don't. In general its good for most of us to try and move around a bit more than we do (those of us in sedentary/ office jobs particularly) but it doesn't matter a whit how you do that.

If you like walking keep walking. If you want to swim, go for a swim. If you want to take up taekwondo then do that. Literally do whatever you want. If you think the circuit/ interval style follow-along workout apps would suit you then I guess Kayla Itsines is the big name there but there's no shortage, just take a look around on the apple store/ play store/ whatever or start on youtube even. I quite liked the Nike fitness app personally but if you want more accurate recommendations you're going to have to figure out what it is you want to do first!
