Research Methodology Problems in Sports Science

Not so much a debate, but really something that seemed applicable and of interest to many in this forum who follow and even perform research. Some here who are already aware of some of the limitations and issues in sports science research (and not unique to this field by far!).
It doesn't address some of the other issues which are unfortunately common in nutrition and sports science studies due to the time and budget constraints, such as small sample sizes and self reporting, especially in regards to food intake, but it seems like a good start.
