Water Mixes

I love added lemon and grapefruit to my water but want to venture out! Any favorite fruit/herb mixes you like in water?

    Mint!

Oh that’s a good one! Do you use it alone in water or add anything with it?

Honestly I haven't done much water mixing, but my friend does occasionally. She drinks strawberry, lemon, and basil, and cucumber and rosemary. They don't taste like much to me, but others seem to find them pretty good. Best of luck!

Okay I have to ask. How do you track calories for something like this? Haha

I don’t track calories for everything especially fruit in my water. I get too obsessed and it becomes unhealthy for me. But I’m sure others have ideas.

I like it with a bit of lime! The most important thing is just finding something you like and actually drinking the water.

Pretty negligible for the things folks are mentioning: A number so small it's lost in the inevitable rate of error from one apple being sweeter than another, and that sort of thing.

Peeled cucumber has 12 calories per 100 g (my typical whole cucumbers are 18-24 calories). A whole lemon or lime has around 20 calories. Fresh mint has maybe 20 calories per ounce, and an ounce of mint leaves is really a lot of mint. Ginger root is 80 calories per 100g, but again 100g is a huge amount of ginger.

Those are the calories if you eat the fruit/herb. If you're worried, but are just infusing it, add 10-20 calories to your day and call it good, IMO. If you eat the fruit, add that, if the calories are material to you.
