I'm trying to add specific exercises I did to calculate how many calories burned and it's not letting me add it. I'm going to exercise diary and trying to enter things like: lunges, crunches, etc and nothing is coming up. If I look under the exercise database I can select an option from a drop down but then it won't tell me how much I've burned. The number stays at 0. Anyone know how I can make this work?

If you want the calories burned for weight training (well an estimation at least).
Then go into the cardio section and select Strength Training (weight lifting, weight training)and the time you trained. It'll give you about 300Kcals for an hour or it does for me at least.
The weight training tool is just for logging exercises and weight lifted it doesn't log calories.1
