Huawei Watch 2 /Fitbit Blaze / Huawei P20 Pro

i currently have a Fitbit blaze but am looking at alternatives because it seems that it doesn't work consistently with my new phone. i am looking at the Huawei Watch 2 so i can at least guarantee it will work with the phone, slightly disappointed that they don't offer something similar to fitbit in terms of food/calorie consume tracking so i'm looking at myfitnesspal - is myfitnesspal compatible with the Huawei Watch 2 or am i going to be in the same situation as now but with a different device!
looking to have a smart watch compatible with the Huawei P20 Pro, where i can log food/calories consumed as well as burned in an effective manor!
