Quick lesson on calculating macros?

Ive done the low calorie diet but ive been told traking macros is the better way to go but it's like a foreign language to me any tips?

    not necessarily a better way. at the end of the day it's the calories that matter in order to lose weight. macros make up the calories.

    You set up your protein and then work from there.

    Go to www.tdeecalculator.net and plug in your details it gives you options of low carb/normal carb/high carb macros splits.

    But yeah, at the end of the day, it's all about the calories.

    Some people prefer more fat - keeps them more satisfied (see Keto Klub), others, like me, almost die when eating low carb so I steer clear of it and I do quite well with all my carbs.

    PS - I advise against calorie deficit being too low - too easy to fall off the wagon when you get super hungry. I usually do the slow and steady approach - lose only a little bit each week but don't walk around dreaming about food and having an empty hole in my stomach grumbling at me.
