I am intrigued by this whole concept and want to try it but don't know how to start. Anyone have a super duper easy to do list to begin this whole process.

The super simplified explanation is that to do keto you eat very low carb, usually under 50g, and to do IF you limit your calorie consumption to a short daily eating window, usually 8 hours or less.

Many of us wouldn't find any of that super duper easy, but if it jives with the way you prefer to eat or controls your appetite it might be a good option.

I am starting slowly. I am making a few recipes I've found online and in some books on keto. I am struggling with the idea of my diet being anywhere close to the high fat percentage they recommend. I started by cutting out grains of all kinds. I limit my fruit intake as well and so far the combo of those three things seems to be resulting in some loss in poundage. However, it's not really a simple diet and I wouldn't begin to try to fool myself into thinking that it's a long term lifestyle.

It’s hard to do Keto corrrectly at first as you have to limit your carbs quite a bit to get into ketosis. However, cutting out sugar and refined carbs is a great start and replace with healthy fats. Clear out cupboards of all junk and veg oils. Lots of resource online. Dietdoctor is a very good website. The Keto Reset Diet by Mark Sisson is a very good read and explains it all. As for IF - most Low Carbers do more of a ‘time restricted eating’ rather than fasting for days or more. Like the last poster hinted. Try to stop eating at a sensible time at night and try to avoid calories until later in the morning. Just this alone has been proven to be better for weight loss if all calories are the same.
