Hello I've started on mfp a week ago. My question is why is my kilojoule count for the day so high? It's about 5000. I've put in my weight and specs and how much I want to lose but it seems quite high?

Google is telling me 5000 kilojoules is about 1200 calories. That is not high at all. It is also the recommended minimum amount of calories to allow for proper nutrition.
This post covers logging accurately using the app. I would follow the methods outlined here and continue logging for a bit, the number might feel a bit lower after sticking to it for a while.
