For the Ladies...especially 40+

I always wonder if titling a post "Ladies Only" actually works, or if it ends up attracting more men, but this really is ladies only.
Regarding the menstrual cycle and water weight....
Every month I am in shock about how much my body changes in those few days before my cycle kicks in, and then of course on the "bad days" when there is flow and cramping.
But holy cow, you would think i wasn't experiencing it every month by the way I continually forget how bad it is.
My body feels so full of water, and ....different. Probably 5-7lbs of extra water, maybe more, and it feels so....yucky.
However, I'm wondering if anyone else also experiences fatigue. On the days before (i'm 2 days away) I become exhausted. My workouts are more difficult, my energy level is down, and of course the desire wanes (but i keep working out, it's just more difficult because i'm so tired).
It gets better as the cycle subsides but in the few days of PMS and menstruation I am absolutely exhausted.
I just turned 40 and the fatigue is more noticeable now then it used to be. In fact all of the PMS symptoms are more noticeable.
anyone else?
Are there any herbal teas that anyone likes? I used to drink a yogi PMS Tea but haven't seen it on the shelf in a while. Kava Kava tea is helpful at night.
The bloat and the fatigue....yuck. I know the bloat goes away, and so will the fatigue, but would love to know more about how the other ladies in my age range are feeling, and handling it.

In the future, I'm trying to train myself to weigh myself once a month only on the week after my period is finished. I find that's the only time it will give me a sensible reading (or as sensible as scales can be).
I dunno if I count in your age range, I'm early 30's, but PMS has given me some weird reactions over the years. Like, for a brief time, I got conjunctivitis every month??????
I do feel that it's been getting worse over the years. However, I've been on this weight-loss journey for just over a year now. My symptoms have improved a bit...less cramps. Fatigue, I have no idea. I can't tell if it was period-related fatigue before, or general crappy health-related fatigue.
So...not much help for you, sorry! But, from what I've heard, other people do experience a lot of fatigue during their cycle.0
