Anybody here a former WW member?

Hi, hello! I'm new here to MFP, but I'm trying to see if it would be a viable alternative to the Weight Watchers online only that I've been trying for the last 6-ish months. Before that I was doing WW meetings for about a year but I kind of hated going to the meetings because I found we were always just talking about the same things every time. I'm not necessarily dissatisfied with the WW program because I find that it truly does work when I actually follow it, but there are a few things about it that are starting to bother me. Most notably after the revamp that happened around November 2018.
I'd love to connect with anyone here on MFP who was previously been (or may even still be) a Weight Watchers member and compare notes. What differences have you noticed between the two? Do you think MFP offers the same level or higher level of support for your health and/or weight loss goals?
Thanks!

Well my mom and aunt were members. But I followed the ww plan the first time I lost and I lost 50 lbs. I do see a lot of similarities with this app and weight watchers. To me it seems like the same thing! I like this one because it’s cheap or free if you don’t want to pay and you can update your progress and measure and put in everything you eat! Good luck to you!!0

The obvious difference is that in WW you track points and here you track calories, and macros if you are so inclined. And it's free while WW costs an arm and a leg. I miss the meetings myself, although now they have even changed that, and don't call them meetings anymore but "workshops". And the new freestyle program is awful imo.0

The meetings are pretty much the same thing they have always been, tbh nothing has changed but the name of them (and they have some new kinds of snacks you can buy lol).
