Recent NSV?

hello all you beast & beastettes! i hope everyone had a great weekend :) have you had a NSV recently that you were happy about? i have a new wardrobe in a smaller size.. its feels amazing! i enjoy exceeding the limit in the dressing rooms now and checking myself out in the big mirror! ;) keep pushing yourself towards your goals and remember YOU are amazing. :bigsmile:

    Hey! Congratulations! I know how good getting a new wardrobe in a smaller size feels!

    I've had a couple of NSV's lately. In my fitness class a woman I've bonded with gave me a handwritten card that basically mentioned how proud she is of me for reaching my goals and that I inspire her so much. It was very touching that she took the time to do that and to know I'm inspiring her.!

    Secondly, yesterday I ran into a friend of a friend at a store who didn't even recognize me. The last time I saw him was a little over a year ago so it was the first time he has seen my transformation. He said a lot of positive things that felt really great. I kind of forget how much I've lost and how I look now.

    Anyone else have any recent NSV's? :)

    aww that was sweet.. i love hand written things.. they are so much more meaningful. a lady at the gym told me i was an animal so i guess that would count for NSV! haha - keep it up!

    Handwritten things seem to be so rare these days, so I was floored when I got it. I thought it was an invitation at first. lol

    I would count being called an animal at the gym a definite NSV. Keep up the good work!!!!!

    I don't know the acronym, but I will say....

    I'm on the smallest hole in my belt, time to get a smaller one. :)

    i went out to breakfast with hubs and stepson and we were eating on the patio. this older fella looks at me and asks "you look pretty athletic- do you play sports? you should join our rowing club."

    at no point in my history on this planet has anyone ever said i look athletic. :) let alone invite me onto a team sport out of nowhere.

    i went to put my work trousers off after having the summer off and they would barely stay on! Had to wear black jeans to work haha

    I measured today since I didn't lose any weight on the scale this past week- and I realized I have lost 2" in my waist and 1/2" off my hips since 3weeks ago. :-)

    Went shopping this weekend for a new pair of shorts since all my shorts are too big and baggy. I am now wearing a size smaller than I thought.

    saw a friend yesterday I had not seen in almost a year, she is a former model so has a killer figure. I was going into Costco as she and her family were coming out and she had to double take, she said 'wow you lost 1/2 a person I barely recognized you'.

    Not too bad for someone who had just gotten home from a week of camping, was filthy, still in my grubby camping gear, ball cap on, no make-up and not showered in a couple days (yeah for roughing it). So felt pretty good for someone who was trying to get in and out of the store without knowing anyone looking the way we did.

    Congrats on the new wardrobe. A couple of new outlet malls have opened in my area recently, hoping to finally start building my new wardrobe. So far I've had to favorite NSVs, a woman at work remarking on my weightloss told me "you've must have worked really hard" and a couple of weeks ago, my manager told me that he doesn't even remember what I looked like "before".

    Other NSV:
    Hot buffed guy (15 years younger) at the gym came up to me to introduce himself and said that he has been wanting to meet me because he noticed how hard I work out. He also said I looked great and that I could probably "beat him" up.

    1. Had to change notch on my watch strap
    2. My friend told me I'm her inspiration to get started

    I did ToughMudder this past weekend. I didn't die, didn't hose my 1/2 marathon training and completed 12 of 18 obstacles successful and failed spectactularly on 4 and had to skip 2... Next year I'll do all the obstacles or at least more than 12.

    LOL! Mine is that I need to buy a belt...for the pants I bought a month ago!

    Do you know how long its been since I've owned a belt?
    (No more elastic wastebands for me!)

    Yesterday I was able to wear a suit that I haven't worn since 2005. Thank goodness I kept it in a bag!

    New wardrobes are a great positive reinforcement! :) Just don't get too wild... won't be long before you have to go buying again!
