Gall Bladder Disease and Weight Loss

As I was posting on another platform it hit me today why I should lose weight gradually.

Six months after giving birth to my son I was in the clear to start working out, delivered by C-section. One night I was sleeping and woke up with a tightness in my chest, I thought I was having a heart attack at the age of 29. I was in pain in a fetal position and could not breathe or move. Where I was on the floor I vomite, unable to crawl to the restroom. My husband called EMS and carried me outside to wait. Once at the hospital the pain syarted to subside and after Xrays and CTscans I wad diagnosed with Gall Bladder disease. That day I ate a bacon cheese burger with chilli and avacado, fried mushrooms, a reward for dropping 20+ pounds after baby.

All that fatty food flared up the gall stones I already had. Mind you everyone, I mean everyone has gall stones. What happens is thay fat from losing weight crystalizes into stones and if they ate large enough can cause a blokage in your bile system. No cure but surgery to remove your gall bladder and eat a high fiber diet the rest of your lfe because your liver has to work overtime. If yo opt out surgery which I have done and manage your episodes you still have eat a high fiber diet in which I do. Episode free for 6Mths now, they use to come more frequent.

So, what I have learned from my experience is to lose weight gradually, not to worry about the scale and eat healthy. I rather let the scale linger on a number, and drop inches rather than lie in pain or opt for surgery. Take weight loss slow and in steps it is worth it.

Women suffer the most because we tend to try to lose weight after giving birth and because of all the fatty foods pregnant women eat eventually turns into stones causing an episode.
