Sync'ing data from smart bottles

I got a super-cheap (eh, so, $20) Hidrate Spark bottle for $20 recently to give it a try (I like gadgets, what?). It works all right, but I was sad to find that even though I have it connected to my Fitbit app, it does not seem to carry my water intake over to that app - or to MyFitnessPal (by extension) - so, if that's not working I guess I'm a little less excited about it since all of my data isn't really in one place (even if it is just collected and sync'd, initially, from multiple sources).
If you've used this bottle, is there something that I need to do to fix that? If you have a different smart bottle, would you recommend it? (ozmo looks nice)
