There are so many other variables to consider. What are your stats: height, current weight, gender, age, activity level
How much weight are you trying to lose?
Do you exercise?
Will you be using a food scale?
When you enter all of your info in MFP and select a goal rate of loss, what calorie target does the system recommend?
Bottom line lots of people have lost weight with a NET calorie intake of 1400. If you can depends on much of the above.2 -
I’ve been eating 1200-1400 since January 1 and have lost 6 pounds. I am 5’4 and 30 years old. Light activity as I’m a teacher but little to no formal exercise.
I’ve been doing the 16:8 intermittent fasting so I eat from 11-7 most days. Today I’m doing 8-4 as I woke up super early.0 -
for me, maintenance is 1800. so, anything under that and i lose.
i aim for 1200 a day, but most often eat 14-1500.
lose just fine.
120 pounds down.1 -
I lost most of my weight (from 180 to 140) at 1500-1600 PLUS Exercise calories, so most days I was eating 1800-2000 calories total.
It really depends on your current height, weight and activity level.
Set your Goal to 1400 and log food accurately for a couple months. Adjust as needed.1
