Joined a gym today

I joined a gym today and I decided to go with one that has a lap pool because I love swimming laps. Anyone had any luck with aquatic workouts and losing weight?

I used to belong to a gym that had a pool. It was difficult to get a lane so I had to alter the times I went. When I finally got a good time and was consistent with doing it, it worked very well. Like anything you will need to find what works for you.

Losing weight is about eating in a caloric deficit. Exercise can help you achieve that, but isn't neccessary.

I did lap swimming about once a week for a year or two (would have been more often but it was hard with my work schedule). I loved it! As long as you're in a calorie deficit, you will lose weight. Although, some people find that swimming makes them hungrier, so just pay attention to that.
