I actually count diet soda and coffee as part of my water intake. I typically only drink water if my pee isn’t a pale yellow color.3

I pretty much only drink coffee, some water and beer on the weekend.
New goal for this year..water! Lots of water for me.0 -
Hydration is what is important. There is no magical amount of water to drink...everyone's needs are going to be different. Over-hydrating can be just as bad as being dehydrated as you deplete electrolytes when you over-hydrate. The color of your urine will tell you if you're adequately hydrated or not.
I live in the desert at over a mile high in elevation and exercise regularly in temperatures in excess of 100* in the summer...my hydration needs would be greater than someone living at sea level in a temperate climate who is more or less sedentary.3 -

"Thus, a human being needs to replenish the roughly 2 litres of water they lose every day from sweating, breathing, and urination."
So, just so I understand correctly after reading. I only need 2 liters a day? So, 60oz in water or included with other liquids and food?0 -

Just about any liquid (even caffeinated) and plenty of foods count towards hydration. If your urine is pale yellow, you're good.2 -
Well that sounds easier. Thanks for clearing this up for me.1
