Bulking weight gain initial

Is it true that you usually gain a decent amount of weight on a bulk st the start and especially the more you bulk, the more your body tends to retain more water ? Heres my weight fluctuation after my workouts. I do intermittent fasting while trying to bulk because 1). I hate having to be a servant to food scales, and eating small frequent meals because of insatiety and dishes haha 2). I can eat mindfully but more flexibly of the foods I want. 3). I can go to bed satisfied.

However my first meal ends about 20-30 minute before my workout aka my preworkout meal is my first meal usually 600-1000 calories.
That being said food weight and such probably do play a role but here it is(photo)arzk00s188ss.jpg

With this trend, it seems like a decent steady bulk but is the most recent change from 155 to 159.2 aka 4.5 pound weight gain in 3 days. Is this bad and should I stop bulking or should I limit my bulk more even though I'm on IF?
OR is this all in my head and its just water weight and other stuff as mentioned in my previous post that is making the scale go somewhat wild.
I'm a previous endomorph so bulking is a double edged sword for me--> gaining weight can be good and motivate me because muscle gains but also can demotivate me because I know muscle probably csnt be gained that fast and that fat might be the main weight :(

Your weight will fluctuate throughout. You might find using a trend app, like happy scale or libra, to be helpful. For example, I "gained" 3lbs one day after a potluck. It took about a week for my weight to trend back down to where it was before.

This is specific to bulking however. I'm not saying that I had a cheat day or something where water weight is evident

An increase in calories does mean more food/waste/water in you system so the scale will reflect that. Also, of course, more water retention if you changed/upped your workouts.
