Medication in and of itself does not cause weight gain. However, it can increase cravings/appetite which causes people to overeat.5

I put on some while I was on it, but I am not sure it was to blame. Others have told me they didn't. It didn't work well for me though.0

I haven't used prozac but am on a mood stabilizer. It has not affected my weight.1

Prozac is an Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI), so there's nothing the drug molecule could do to impact weight.
As with any medication it may influence hormones and therefore appetite, but not hunger.3 -
Prozac/Fluoxetine has only a small association with change in appetite; has both weight loss & weight gain association (very small magnitude). Usually very individualized from person to person
It's nothing compared to the antipsychotics though (actually have blood glucose, HbA1C, weight, waist circumference) in the drug monogram monitoring parameters along with precautions/warning about developing/worsening of symptoms of blood glucose control/type 2 diabetes.0
