Good Afternoon fellow MFPs!
I am not new to MFP. This is my second time around. I did not fall off the wagon. I successfully been the same weight for more than a year. I wanted to start again for another reason.
Two years ago I was 201 pounds, 5'4 (still am), and a size 16 pants. Because of a depression, I would consume more than 3,000 calories a day. I ate nothing but fast food. I'm surprised I didn't have a cardiac arrest earlier. My wake up call was when I saw a photo of myself on a company website. It was the last straw. I looked like a 49's linebacker. I signed on to MFP and took it one day at a time. I still ate on occasion my fast food (once a week) but in smaller quantities. I walked everyday for 30 minutes. In three months, 25 pounds melted off. It took another six to get rid of the other 25.
Today I am 142 pounds, 5'4, and a size 6 pants. I found a new confidence in myself. I have a pep in my step. The reason I am back to MFP is because I have plateaued. I need to challenge myself again. Honestly, I will be happy anything from 5-10 pounds. I need to tone up and be conscious again of what I am consuming.
The biggest gift was finding the love of my life and we want to start a family. I am 37 (although with a young spirit and look...thank you Oil of Olay) and I want to be the healthiest I can when the day comes.
You are welcome to join my journey.
