Healthy Grilling Recipes

Would love to share recipes for the grill. I’ve been eating healthier and cooking on the grill to cut down on dishes for my mental health. 😀87ych733zg1l.jpeg

We could just come up with the unprovided recipe:
    2 tilapia fillets
    2 lemons
    1 cup of parsley

Preheat the grill, setting it up for indirect cooking and oiling the grates.
Slice the lemon into half inch slices.
    ...

We do steak filets a lot. I kabob any vegetable that looks good to go with it. Brussel sprouts are good grilled but so are zucchini and pepper. Potatoes in foil with garlic, salt and pepper. I put fresh herbs on most everything for flavor. Sometimes we do chicken sausage from Publix, super good! Blackened shrimp on skewers. Chicken breast with a BBQ rub. And for dessert try grilling pineapple or apples with a bit of brown sugar.

That all sounds delicious.....Is the chicken sausage like pork sausages?

Oy! Stop with the marination and get on with the mastication!

Pork chop of any variety, coat it in sriracha and then grill it. Most of the heat cooks out and you are left with some really good flavor. Coat green beans in EVOO and salt and throw them on the grill in a basket. I have a ton of recipes as I pretty much grill 6 days a week spring through fall.

    I'm going to assume not.
My assumption would be something like:
    2 lemons
2 fillets of some sort of white fish (I liked the tilapia suggestion)

Preheat your grill arranging the heat in such a way that you're creating an indirect heating zone
Oil the grates of the grill
Season fish with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil
Grill the lemons and fish for for...i'm not actually sure I rarely grill fish.
Turn and cook for another X minutes
Serve with a side of green beans

You can. You can do it old school with the proper cast iron dutch that has a place for charcoal on the lid or on any grill with consistent indirect heat and a cast iron or heavy duty container. It is not worth the trouble unless you have no access to an oven.

It is like an Italian sausage. I’m not sure what that is normally made of so I can’t say for sure.

Grilled squid! Super easy. Score insides, marinate in olive oil, lemon, and some spices. I like oregeno, crushed peppers, and thyme. On grill, helps it skewer them but cook as hot as possible about 2min each side. I toss them in a quick vinaigrette of olive oil, lemon, garlic, salt, pepper and serve over greens, preferably arugula.
