In terms of sustainability I would say carb cycling. However, doing so would still require a deficit to lose weight. Why does it have to be one or the other? You dont have to do either. You can eat at a reasonable deficit eating all the foods you enjoy and lose weight that way.5

Eating in a way you enjoy and can sustain for the rest of your life.6

What do you mean by "better for you"?
If you have a medical reason to restrict or otherwise be concerned about carbs, then you should follow your doctor's advice.
If you are trying to lose weight, you need to make sure you consistently eat fewer calories than your body burns, and it doesn't directly matter how many of those calories come from carbs. Barring any medical conditions, macros are relevant for health and satiety, but not for weight loss itself.
1200 is generally not an appropriate calorie goal for most people. It's suited to women who are short, sedentary, and/or older. If that doesn't sound like you, then you probably don't need to eat so few calories.4 -

I’d say cycling is better, it’s good to keep active. I never liked counting calories so I don’t. So what would you rather do?
I personally don’t count calories but i make sure to do cardio 30 mins , three times a week and I’m losing weight.
I think you're talking about different things. OP was referring to carb cycling, but it sounds like you're talking about bicycling.0 -
