Just installed Huawei health app on my phone which I think is the culprit, still can't figure out how to fix it though.

Do you have a screen shot from the exercise screen?

Yesterday is was a bit screwy for me too. It gave me a negative -2,244 Kcals based on activity and I'd walked 15,000 steps and ran for 45 mins.

Thank you, yes here it is. I've been trying to disable the health app but it's a feature of the phone so it won't let me. It's not listed in my connected devices either. Sometimes I think mfp needs to employ better programmers to redesign the app as I find it quite clunky and dated, maybe then I'd be able to find a way to rectify this.

Just googled it (which I probably should have done first) and found this:

"MFP state that data sync with Huawei Health is in early development, but should be fully launched soon.
The main problem at present seems to be related to calorie units. Huawei report energy in calories (small c) so their data shows energy figures as (for example) 300 kcal (300,000 calories). MFP report energy in Calories ( capital C = kcal). So when Huawei export calories it is imported by MFP as Calories, but unfortunately it is therefore a factor of x1000 too big!!
It should be blindingly simple for the two business to be able to fix, but for some reason it still hasn't happened."

    That was six months ago.

So it seems that it's a problem for everyone with this type of phone. I'm really bummed as I have a Huawei band 3 fitness tracker coming today in the post and I'm pretty sure that it's gonna have the same issue with syncing to mfp. I was really excited to be getting my first tracker but I guess I'll have to return it. So far I haven't been tracking my exercise calories on mfp as I don't trust the database or the gym machines.

I haven't been tracking mine either as MFP will only let me input 1 exercise per day and I do 2 or 3 little bouts of different exercise a day.

I can input several different exercises. I walk, I run, I bike, I do yoga, shovel snow, etc. It lets me input it either separately or together.

That's weird. I have never had a problem entering multiple exercises on a single day.

I don't have any calorie adjustments linked to MFP, but can you see and edit-able actual entry in the exercise page? If so, you should be able to manually change the calories according to the error listed above.

Thank you puffbrat, I went back and had another look to see what I could do. Nothing on the exercise page but then I noticed the edit button on the diary page (pencil icon) and was able to select the exercise entry and delete it, which is good news, but I still can't use my fitness tracker with mfp unless anyone can think of a hack for it?

Sometimes I have @suziecue25's issue as well but sometimes I can enter exercise more than once. I'm using desktop.

My workaround is to either wait til the end of the day to add exercise or add some of it the next day.

Sounds like you cannot sync them for now so how about adding manually? When I lost my fitbit I went back to adding manually and actually prefer it.

Yes thanks kshama, that's my plan and that way I don't have to count my day to day walking steps, just my purposeful exercise sessions.
