Hello! I’m wondering if it would be beneficial for me to reduce my workouts from 5/week to 3? I usually do kettlebell tabata/hiit 5 days a week but I recently went up in weight with my kettlebell by 8lbs(I’m able to maintain proper form with the increased weight). My workouts are usually 40-45 minute Kettlebell/cardio hiit/tabata with combination moves. Is 5 days a week okay or should I decrease it to 3 a week to give my muscles a rest? Any insight would be great

The answer to this will be different for everyone. Do you feel like you are pushing yourself too hard? Are you noticing pain anywhere (not just muscle soreness)? If not, you are likely ok with sticking to 5 days a week.1

It's personal. It really is.
I workout every day. Like brushing teeth.
I do it every day until I feel i need a day off. If something hurts or I;m just not getting the level i expect, i take a day or 2 to rest.
I had to build it up and increase it gradually. But today, my schedule is:
Mon - Morning (Insanity + Back, chest and shoulders) - Night (Jiu Jitsu)
Tue - Morning (Insanity + Legs) - Nights (Ashtanga Yoga)
Wed - Morning (Insanity + Swimming) - Night (Jiu Jitsu)
Thu - Morning (Insanity + Back, chest and shoulders) - Night (Iyengar Yoga)
Friday - Morning (Insanity + Legs) - Nights (Jiu Jitsu)
Saturday - Morning (Insanity + Swimming)
Sunday - Morning (Swimming + Vinyasa Flow Yoga)
I am currently on day 13 with no rest and I feel fine.
But I really do enjoy the workouts. It's my escape from the real world. For those hour and a half to 2 hours, i am free from stress.0
