That my friend appears to be a Dodge Charger -

It is indeed. The 71 - 74 body style was never as popular as the earlier Chargers but it was the one I liked best.

‘77 Camaro (bitchin’ Camaro, bitchin’ Camaro, Tony Orlando and Dawn!)

Ok, this memory is awful and terrible and not to be celebrated.

Me and JP we’re headed down 76 at about 105 each with a spliff and a beer. There was a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 rolling around the floor and another 17 beers and 15 empties around the car. We were blasting a mix tape called “Smack My Crack” and Tom Waits was in the middle of a spoken word piece called “The Pontiac” when I looked across the median strip and saw a state hoopie headed our way. The cop’s eyes and mine met across the grass and concrete and he grinned at me.

I said, “Dude, we’re clipped. Hide the stash.”

Then I stomped the pedal and cranked it up to about 135 and we started policing up the interior.

In minutes I saw the lights behind me and by the time he caught us the car was immaculate.

I rolled down the window and put on my professional voice, “Hello, Officer.”

“Do you know why I am stopping you?”

“Well, sir, I mighta let my speed get a bit high coming down that hill.”

    “A bit high?”

“Yessir. I really have no excuse. I just let it get away from me there for a bit.”

He took my license and registration from my extended hand and walked back to his highway interceptor. Before too long he came back.

He looked at us and said, “How does 77 in a 55 sound?”

    I said, “Generous.”

He said, “Slow down and park it when you get where you are going.”

We did that. Well the last part anyway. It was hard to keep that damn thing under 100.

An old hideous Mercury Capri...little did I know it was a bit too much car for me

When I was in grade 11, I had 2 spare periods at school. I went to school for first period, worked the drive thru for lunch rush at a fast food restaurant weekdays 11 am-1pm and then went back to school for 4th period. I worked at night from 6 to 2-3 am babysitting.

Babysitting was my pocket money...fast food restaurant paycheck paid my car loan and insurance.

I wanted a car so bad (to get tf out of that godforsaken town - one day).

One day the drivers side door fell almost off when I went to open it, it 'fell down' out of alignment about 8 inches...you had to pick it up and body check it to get it to shut...it was heavy as fork. I just used the passenger door until I could afford to fix it.
Oh ya, and shocks were *kitten*...super bouncy ride

Yeah 68-70 will always be king but I liked the 71-74 as well - friend of mine had a black 73 and it was badass

2000 Acura Integra. I loved that car. One time I got out of a speeding ticket because I had human eyeballs in a cooler in the backseat. I know it sounds crazy but I used to work for a transplant bank and for eye only cases we would take our private vehicle.

Interesting. I would have thought the private vehicle would be used for privates.

    We didnt procure those parts....

1947 Chevrolet 2 door coupe. Left it in the airport parking lot when I flew to Navy boot camp in 1960.

91 Ford Probe. Had a nice sound system installed in it and entered it in a car show in high school and won best sound system overall. :)

@SwannySez... That sounds like a scene from a movie... But we know your proficiency with the narrative so I'll buy it.
