hey yall. So I had been over eating for years basically. its been a couple weeks or so I have cut back just to basic portion sizes, nothing like super little. But the thing I need to cut back on still is like eggs I eat for breakfast. I have been eating 5 jumbo eggs usually for a long time. I have been told 2/3 eggs is a good serving? I just struggle in the morning especially on weekdays because I cant eat lunch for like four or five hours. I can have a snack like a fibre bar, apple, veggies, etc. Just wondering if that is the correct serving for eggs? and, also how long do people find it takes for their stomaches to get used to eating smaller portions? I am starting to get used to It just curious?

just portion it to fit in your calories. You need to have an intake that is less than you burn. My stomach has adjusted to eating less.

I am struggling with the same thing. I need to eat 1220 calories to lose one pound a week. I plan to eat about 300 calories for 3 meals a day and the rest will either go for a bigger meal or snacks. You can see how much MFP recommends you eat in calories and then figure out how many eggs. You might want to add Canadian bacon for more protein in the morning to help you stay satisfied longer.

Yes 2-3 eggs is a more reasonable serving size, but it really comes down to your overall calorie intake. If you have to go longer for lunch there is nothing wrong with eating a larger breakfast, and cutting back a bit for lunch and dinner. Eat in a way that allows you to eat in an overall deficit but also keeps you satisfied. One trick you might try is two whole eggs plus 3 egg whites. The overall volume will be similar to what you are used to, but cutting out the extra yolks will significantly reduce your calories. If you are scrambling then the yolks in the two will ensure the flavor is similar too. When I make omelettes I usually used 1 whole egg and 2 whites.

I usually do 1 or 2 eggs with 3/4 cup egg whites. More volume, less calories.

    eat to your calorie goals.

im not a breakfast person and the thought of eating before 10 am makes my stomach turn. and im up between 4-5 most days LOL i do eat lunch early - 11/12.

the thought of eating 5 eggs at ANY time is icky to me. i like eggs, but 2 at the most and im done. LOL

if you need to/are used to eating a larger breakfast and then smaller lunch, thats fine. just work within your calorie goals.
