Hi, I've used MFP for over a year now, in January I reset my goals & weight. Then by April I was 23lb down and feeling gooooood..... so decided to give up smoking, was only smoking in the evenings anyway. Here I am 19lbs heavier again in 3½ months of being a non smoker. I love not smoking, I love being able to breathe and at the point of coming off of asthma pumps (I know I shouldn't of been a smoker with asthma) I love not smelling of smoke, and tasting my food...

But here I go again, back with determination to get this weight off! I have around 100lbs to lose and would welcome anyone who wants to add me. Could do with supporting others and maybe getting a bit back too.

Has anyone else given up smoking, gained then lost it again? I'm having a really hard time getting moving again.. :explode: :embarassed:

Hi Trace, I am new here (just started yesterday) and joined because of the extra weight have gained due to stopping smoking. I also love the benefits of being smoke free for 18 months but I have gained nearly 2 stone in weight in that time. Having a job where I sit in a car all day isn't helping much either.

I have always been a bit on the heavy side but at 5' 10" and fast approaching 17 stone I was no longer comfortable with myself so decided the extra weight has to go. Would like to lose about 50 - 60 lbs but am willing to take it slowly.

More than happy to offer support where I can especially as I know that I will need some as well
