Hi all, just had a question. I always eat back my calories on days I exercise to make sure I'm hitting my net calorie count. I have my Fitbit Charge 3 linked, so it gives me extra calories throughout the day. On exercise days, I make sure to eat those extras.
My question is, on non-exercise days, should I be eating the extra calories my Fitbit is giving me?
I'm set to 1620 calories.
I'm 5'7, weigh 170lbs. First weight goal is 160, then we'll go from there. I'm lightly active. Exercise 3-4 times a week, doing 30 mins of treadmill hitting 10k+ steps those days. Non-exercise days I tend to average 7000-8000 steps.

Why wouldn't you? You're getting an adjustment for activity that is in excess of what your activity level is set to whether that's deliberate exercise or just more general activity.2

I do, because that's what I figured. I think I just got into my own head a bit and was overthinking stupid things haha. Thanks!1 -
I personally dont, unless I did a significant amount of steps. I changes my activity to "active" so I only get extra calories if i did usually over 10,000 steps. but if your eating them and losing, then go for it1

Yep. This is kind of the whole purpose of using an activity tracker instead of just logging workouts. Take the guesswork out of whatever your activity level is.
I eat every delicious calorie and lose/gain/maintain as expected.

That's what I assumed, and was doing, just wanted to double-check with others. I like my food, so I am here for any extra calories1 -

That's a good idea, too, especially if it's working for you0
