Basic compound lifts to alternate with T25?

So I'm hoping to wrap up NROL4W in the first week of September, maybe the second. For my birthday I got T25, which I'm very excited about starting, however, I don't want to lose what I've managed to maintain (see I listen) during the last 4-5 mo. of NROL.

Here are my challenges: October - November is a very busy travel period for me. I'll have several trips to different cities/hotels, some of which may have easy access to free weights and some of which may not. I would think that most would at least have a decent selection of dumbbells. My travel is also all for conferences, which means working long days, followed by networking events into the night.

What I've found works for me: consistency, working out in the morning and at home, and, given the above, shorter workouts.

My goals: Lose a little more weight (max 10 lbs. by mid-Nov), maintain muscle

Soooo, I was thinking I'd tackle Sept. - Nov. with a T25/Strength training hybrid.

Are there some basic compound lifts that I could alternate with the T25 workouts?

I was looking at the exercises in the 5x5 program and wondering if there was something I could modify there? Not sure if it should be higher reps/lower weights, given my lack of regular access to a good selection of free weights (barbells/squat racks). I also have terrible grip strength when it comes to dumbbells, which limits me.

Sorry for the long post! Appreciate the advice.

I don't know if you can mix those two or not. But, I used to travel quite a bit. Most gyms (Gold's, 24-hour-Fitness, California Family Fitness, the 'Y') allow you to pay a daily fee and use their facilities. It was rare when I could not find a gym close enough.

Look into Madcow's 5x5, only squatting twice a week, not three times. You might also like Wendler 5/3/1, one big lift a workout. T25 is cardio, right? I don't see why you couldn't combine the two.

Thanks, I'll look into those two. It is just cardio, and only 25 min, long, which is one of the attractive things about it this time of year!
