Hello Friends,
How do I find motivation to prevent myself from binge-eating?
Thank you.

Initially when you change your diet by eating healthier and reducing your intake, the body sheds water weight, not fat.
There will be times when you reach a plateau and the scale doesn't move. Just remember, like blood pressure, your weight can change throughout the day (due to water retention in men and women) so only weigh in once a week.
This is when you have to start adjusting your intake and your exercise to continue weight loss.
If you went from sedentary to 20 minutes of walking a day, that's great but recognize that reducing your calorie intake will only go so far if you don't start increasing your exercise.
Many people think they have to continually reduce calories in order to lose weight when in fact they just need to add more exercise.
Treadmills are great for cardio but suck for weight loss. Eventually your body gets used to it and you have to walk longer and longer which is okay but if you truly want to lose weight you need to add weights/resistance exercises.
Adding or improving muscle burns way more calories. Muscles require up to 3 times more calories (as protein) to maintain so the more muscles (or healthier muscles) you have the more calories you burn.
And finally recognize that it took a long time to put on the weight you are trying to remove. It will take a longer time to lose it. Slow and steady progress are the keys to losing weight and keeping it off. Trying to lose weight too fast (more than 2 lbs. per week) is almost assuredly going to end in failure. It's a proven fact.
Dieting doesn't help you maintain a weight loss, changing eating and exercise habits does.1
