Swimming: light/moderate

I’ve got a gripe: I did a 4k set yesterday averaging 1:28 per 100m that MFP put down as ‘light/moderate effort’. I feel like it deserved more of a ‘heavy/lots of effort’ at the least.
What pace do you have to go to get recognised around here? Olympic level?

Fitbit, MFP etc. are all using estimates because everyone is different. I personally never rely on these gadgets to determine fitness levels.
If you are swimming 100m in 1:28 minutes then yes you are going at a heavy/intense rate.
Trust me, if you can swim that fast (no swim aids I assume) then you needn't worry about your fitness level!1 -
I would generally log that rate as “Swimming laps freestyle, fast, vigorous effort” even if I break it up and am doing IMs or other strokes. The other options for fly, back and breast exist I think by I was too lazy to search them out.
Oh, you’re using a device? Ah, I am old and lazy and pick the exercise.0 -
Thanks all, you're very kind!
I'm pretty much just wanting to have more calories shown as being burnt off for an excuse to eat more.
Thanks for the help0
