20 pounds

I’m officially up 20 pounds this morning after losing 50. I started off with tremendous resolve last month to finally lose it again. I’ve done this every few months for the last year and a half. Resolve starts strong and fades after a few weeks. Why? I don’t know. Do I not want it bad enough? Maybe not.
I have a vacation planned at the end of March. I’d really like to be down 10 pounds by then. For no reason other than to feel more comfortable in my own body.
I’m not necessarily posting this for advice, I know what to do. I’m not doing it right, and it shows. I guess I’m posting this for my own accountability and maybe as a reminder to myself not to give up.

I could have written your whole post word-for-word! I turn 50 in April and need to lose 30 lb. I would love to lose 15 by my birthday at the very least. I have lost up to 25 lb in the past but gained it all back plus. I had a great mind set at the time. I'm not sure what my problem is now I like to blame it on menopause LOL! I do know that contributes and makes it harder but I need to do the work. Hoping to find motivation and support here1 -
Yes don't give up but commit to logging your calories and being consistent with your calorie deficit.
All the best with those 10lbs by March, make a start and at least half of them could be gone (when someone has only 20lbs to lose its best not to aim to lose more than 0.5- 1lb a week)0 -

I've been using turning 40 as my excuse...but I know it's almost completely based on my poor decisions. I'm here for you, thank you for the friend request.LivingtheLeanDream wrote: »Yes don't give up but commit to logging your calories and being consistent with your calorie deficit.

I'm not giving up! I may temporarily give up here and there, but in 3+ years, I've never completely thrown in the towel. I actually have about 35 pounds to lose to reach my goal. I'm currently at 170 and I'd like to be around 130-140. I'm aiming for a pound a week, so I know 10 pounds is 7 weeks is lofty. But...it's a goal. Thank you for your support.2
