Hi I’m 46 years old and have about 50lbs to lose, I’ve been on MFP for ages, just having it as a background app and now want to use it to its full potential!
I have an Apple Watch and am now trying desperately to close my rings 5 out of 7 days!
Speak soon, Kx

Have you started a food diary?
Not sure how you close a ring on an Apple Watch. But if it has to do with exercise, I want to convince you of a couple of things
One is that weight loss takes place mostly in the kitchen, or dining room or supermarket.
Second, the best weight loss tools are a food diary and a food scale.
Attitude. Try not to work from desperation. To lose 50lbs, you need staying power. Try to find the zone where you are losing weight but are satisfied with how you are living. Even if you succeed with an austerity approach, it won’t leave you in a place where you be able to maintain at your new lower weight.
Think abundance, not deprivation. It’s just a matter of living within some reasonable limits. Try to establish a livable downward trend and give it time to work.2
