Black or White Thinking... All or Nothing traps

I hope I don't "go off diet" when at birthday parties & camping Thursday-Sunday! This will be a piece of cake... oops wrong analogy
Anyone get into this trap of being on a diet or not... so when I am not on my diet I eat like a pig and then say something like "I'm starting back up on my diet on Monday."
Well I am ready for that way of thinking to be over!

I do this too. And if I mess up during the day, I decide to enjoy it and go all out before I get serious "tomorrow." Totally sucks. Glad for the support I get from my MFP friends. It's nice to know I'm not alone!!!0

Don't go off your diet. Enjoy your occasional piece of cake, pie, or ice cream just don't let it completely ruin your day or week. I find the moderation works if you learn to do it. I look at this as a lifetime journey and find that teaching myself to break the habits that really throw you off track are the best things you can do. I still have urges but have learned to curb them but also reward myself with treats now and then.0
