Sudden hunger?!

Hi! I have been tracking macros/cals since January 1st. I've been steadily losing about .5lb per week and eating roughly 1450-1650 cal per day consistently. The last few days I have been RAVENOUS. No change in exercise frequency, no PMS or pregnancy etc. What the heck is happening?! I've been fine with my cals....always satiated and feeling great. Has this happened to anyone else?!

Find higher volume low cal foods (lots of veggies) drink lots of water to help keep you full play with your macros depending on what keeps you full everyone is different. Exercise more to eat more. I'm probably not the best to advise I lost 4 stone and put 2 back on (*face palm)

Going over macros doesn't matter as much as going over calories. Perhaps a couple days at maintenance to see if it passes? Or a bump of whatever macro helps you feel satiated longer?

Thank you! Oh yes sorry I meant calories too (havent gone over my calories and macros) I'm so scared to do maintenance cals tbh ....this is the first time in my life I have stuck to a cal/macro target this long I dont want to ruin it lol. I am going to have to tho if it doesnt pass! :(

Maintenance calories shouldn't be scary . . . eating at maintenance for one day just means you aren't at a deficit for that day. It's doesn't "ruin" anything, it's literally just the status quo!

Ok!!! Thank you :) That makes it less scary. Do you have a recommended website to accurately count my maintenance ? I am scared because I get conflicting numbers from various methods.

What rate of loss did you pick when you got your number from MFP? If it was 1lb/week, that would be a 500cal deficit. If it was 0.5lb/week, that would be 250cal. 2lb/week would be 1000cal.

This happens to me once in a while, just for a day at a time. On those days, I eat at maintenance or close to it. It's never had a negative effect on the following day's weigh-in. :)

With the calories mfp gave you have you been losing at the expected rate? If yes then just set mfp to maintain current weight

Do you know what your deficit is right now? Your calorie goal will be based on what you told MFP you wanted to lose per week. If you know how much your goal is, you can add your deficit to your calorie goal and get your maintenance.

For example, if your calorie goal is 1,500 and you told MFP you wanted to lose .5 pounds per week, then that's a deficit of 250 calories a day. Your maintenance would be 1,750.

If you're losing 0.5lbs per week, you are in a 250 cal deficit. So your maintenance is what you are eating + 250 calories.

I get a crazy hungry day every once and awhile, sometimes hormonal and sometimes not. I just let myself eat a little more. At most it sets you back a day or two. I have other days where I don't quite use all my calories, so I figure it all comes close to evening out in the end.

I got my number custom from IIFYM website actually! I'm not even sure what the rate I am supposed to lose at but it's been 0.5 per week since I started

Its tricky cause my macros and cals are entered custom I got them from iifym website
