hello! i'm new to this website but am looking to get into a fitness routine. i recently decided i'd finally like to try and bulk up the muscles in my legs and gain a little weight. i'm a student and i have free access to the gym facilities all week long. i've been working out monday, wednesday, friday, sunday, but i'm wondering if that's not a great idea? i'm not tremendously involved at the gym, as my medication acts up and can be dangerous if i exercise too much. will my routine lead to any progress at all? is every other day okay as i'm a casual gym goer? any advice would be much appreciated! ^^
EDIT: i should also add that i do a good amount of walking all week long as well as a high energy food service job on the weekends (thursday-saturday)-- i'm not sedentary!

Pick one that fits. Probably strongcurves based on some of what you said0 -
If you are untrained I would do the minimum the first couple weeks since you will need very little stimulas to achieve your goal. Any more isn't neccessarily beneficial.
When you need more volume that would be determined hopefully through programming.
Starting Strength is typically the gold standard. Honestly if you are novel to training, any progrsm will get you results the first couple of months until you need more advanced programming. Though if you have access to a fully equipped gym, I would definitely recommend SS.0
