If I want to eat one, I'll plan for it and enjoy the whole dang thing. I'm not sharing my desserts.21 -
Sharing dessert is just for when I'm already full and I only want to taste the dessert.4
-
Half the calories!
Also, just make a small portion. I would rather have a small amount of something I really love, than a bigger amount of something I've chosen because it's lower calorie!6 -
I plan usually to have something sweet every single day and leave 300 calories for that.
I do often share dessert when we're dining out though, its a great way to halve the calories4 -
I made nutella cookies the other day--thin and chewy. 70 calories for one. VERY doable.4

OK! I changed up a peanut butter cookie recipe on a thread running "Best cookie recipe". I live in Italy and it's hard to get PP, but we have Nutella in abundance.
250g Nutella
1 egg
30g coconut
10g poppyseed
50g oats
1 tsp baking powder
I made 27. They spread out a lot and get very thin, so give them space. I used parchment paper because they are sticky, and dropped about a tsp of dough for each. They are a little under 70cal each. They came out thin, but chewy. I will definitely be making them again. They hit the spot when you want something sweet and chocolatey. Temp 350ยฐ They bake up fast--5 min

@snowflake954 thank you, they sound great and I would have all those ingredients in my cupboards which is even better.
How long do they take to bake? temperature?0 -

^^I like this plan.
I have two bites and quit....sometimes they are big bites though ๐2 -
I made a pie for Christmas dinner and after using the recipe builder, it was like 500 calories for a regular slice!!! So I just cut a slice in half for 250 and enjoyed every bit of it.4

I thought you meant share a recipe.... I am on board with that.... Sharing my dessert? You are risking a finger.5
-
doesn't work so well when you live alone :P but once I have selected my dessert you sure as hell better keep your paws away :P
I eat desert daily (actually twice daily lunch and dinner). I make it fit in my calories, make them useful (i.e. one is a home made protein bar so as much about adding protein as my chocolate fix) and make smart choices that fit my preference and calorie goal.3 -
I just keep mine to 200 calories per serving or fewer. Works well.2

Let me know how it works out. They are even better the day after. I just have them on the counter, haven't refrigerated them yet--I don't think they'll last long. I have 4 men in my house to feed.0 -

Smart boy.
I'm already planning my after-meet decadence. A cookie molcajete topped with ice cream from my favorite Mexican restaurant and a ginormous margarita (or two!)

I only share my dessert when I'm trying to be friendly. Usually with my husband or son. Any other time you risk having your hand stabbed by a fork. I eat dessert almost every day and don't feel the least bit guilty. I actually put the last lemon bar in my lunch today so I won't have to feel guilted into sharing with my hubby tonight3
