Do you go by servings per container or net weight?

For example, I bought some falafel balls at whole foods. The container says serving size is 2.5 ounces. It states that there are 90 calories per serving, and there are four servings per container, which would equate to 360 calories. However, the net weight of the container is only 6.24 ounces, which would equate to 224 calories per container?

Weight is always going to be the most accurate way to track calories of any solid food.

    Def by weight.
Example Tuna fish in a can.
After you drain the water/oil, there is a distinct difference.

Weight. The only time I go by divided portions is if I've weighed the whole thing and plan to eat the whole thing myself, just not on one day, like a recipe. That way, if I'm not perfect, it balances out.

I do that with quite a few things...usually when it's something I'll be eating over the course of a week. Cantaloupe, this chicken thing I make that I pick on at work, the proteiny type ice creams. I divy up the calories over the whole week and sometimes, if I don't finish it, I get calories back on Friday. :)

Weighing is really the most accurate way.
