It must be the sodium...

I feel like I can never eat out ever. If I eat at home all week, I’ll have a good loss. If I eat out several times a week, Even though I’m still within my macros, I maintain. Either restaurant portion sizes and calorie information is way off or it’s sodium retention. This isn’t just an isolated week, I’ve noticed this in the past also, eating out is just rough for me.

Why are you concerning yourself with water weight? It's silly. It doesn't mean you're not losing fat.7

Sodium/water retention. If you noticed it before, did it not balance back out in a day-2-3 days? Don't let enjoying your eating out stress you out, its not fat gain.5

This.
I know that when I go out to eat I'll be up on the scale for a few days. Doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things though. My family enjoys eating out and we usually do it 1-2 times a week. I've had no problem hitting my weight management targets while still eating out.
OP, do you track your weight on a trending app? It's helpful to see the big picture vs the day to day fluctuations.2 -
It is probably the sodium and it's just water weight. There's no need not to eat out. I eat out most weekends and notice that my Monday morning weight is higher than what it should be. Then by Tuesday or Wednesday, that water weight is gone and if I look at the trend weight, I have actually lost weight.
