Often when people feel like weight loss is too hard to stick to, it's because they are setting themselves with too many unnecessary rules, trying to lose too fast, and thinking they have to be perfect.

Set your goal to lose no more than 1 lb per week. Log your food accurately and consistently and fit in some of your fave foods and treats. Obviously eat a healthy diet, but there's nothing wrong with having some ice cream or a slice of pizza. Understand that you will have days you go over your calories - everyone does. People who succeed aren't perfect, they just keep going and don't even try to be perfect.

I lost my 20 lbs at a rate of 0.5lbs per week, it was hard to be patient but it was easier to stick to the calories
