I have been going to Pilates religiously 6 days a week for the past 7 weeks. I go to both level 1 and 1.5 classes. Level 1 is actually too easy, but I'm not ready for level 2 yet. Some days level 1 timing just works better. So, I thought by now I'd see radical differences in my body but I don't. I do see a little change but not as dramatic as I'd expected. I did recently move up from 5 lb weights to 8 lbs and I can feel the difference in my arms. What else can I do? I make time for an hour a day but don't think I can do two classes a day more than on the weekend. Advice appreciated.

What differences are you expecting in less than 2 months, and what other actions are you taking to achieve these goals?

What specifically are you wishing to see? Are you trying to lose weight? Look a certain way?

Despite how they are advertised, most workouts won't give you dramatic visible results in 2 months. Before and after photos, in addition to being lighted and framed differently, often have small print noting that the transformation took much longer than results advertised and we're combined with a low cal diet.

Thanks, I think I expected more muscle definition. But, you're both right, I need to give it more time. I'm also cutting back on calories, but probably not by enough.

    Be more patient.

Muscle definition has a lot to do with bf%. So you might need to focus more on the food side so you lose weight and reveal your muscles underneath. Log accurately and consistently, hit that calorie deficit, and yes give it more time. If you don't have a lot of weight to lose, working on aesthetics can be a slow process

Good advice. I need to lose about 25 pounds.
