Congrats! What works for you. This is not a debate. I'm offering advice based on what works for me, just as you are. At the moment I can't afford to eat skittles.4

1 cup of raspberries contains 5g of sugar.
Which do you think is better?
You do need sugar in your diet. Choose wisely.
Are we having this debate again?
Since I'm not eating only Skittles or raspberries, it depends on the context of my entire diet. And yes, sometimes the correct answer is Skittles.
i totally had a bag of skittles in the car on my drive home the other day - and they fit perfectly...and much easier to eat in the car than raspberries
I have a powerlifting meet Saturday. Skittles would be way more helpful than raspberries in that situation.2 -

But see, this is where we need to give thought to how we say things. You said, "Cut the sugar and snack on nuts and berries", which is a command to everyone reading it, not "I cut the sugar and snack on nuts and berries", or even, "You might want to consider cutting the sugar and snacking on nuts and berries."15 -

Alright folks. This thread will be staying locked. If you wish to debate the merits of sugar and different sugar-laden foods please do it in a thread in the debate section, NOT in a thread where OP is seeking advice and guidance. Turning a thread into an off-topic debate violates the community guideline that prohibits trolling.
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or any other moderator or MFP staff-member and we'll be happy to discuss.
