I'm going to ask a question that might gross some of you out, so if you often say TMI and grossed out about body functions than it might be best you stop reading and help someone else. For the rest of us here is the situation.
Ok today I hit the gym hard today with core class, yoga, cardio, than strength training. I wasn't doing a lot of weight but when on was doing my calves on the machine about 7 in my *kitten* muscle cramped up. Like I pulled it. I stopped right away and finished my arms and left. This is new to me it doesn't hurt while I walk but I have had a few moments since I got home, when I fart it hurts. I'm not looking forward to my next bowel movement. Has anyone experienced this what should I expect in 48 hours. I am going to avoid straining it any more for now but totally in the dark about normal recover time, or when a doctor should get involved

It's doctor time .... I can't remember the term, but it is just as you describe and may be due to straining while lifting. Don't mess with it, have your doctor check for fissures, and rest up before doing anything else strenuous.0

Maybe it's a hemmorhoid? Get some Prep H ointment and don't sit on your butt for a bit. When you go #2 try not to strain too much. Go see a doc if it persists.0

Guess if I have pain tomorrow off to the doctor I go. Have an appointment with my cardiologist anyways so it will be interesting asking him to refer me to a specialist so out of his field he might not even know anybody to recommend.0

Doctor! You don't want a potentially minor problem now to cause major problems later. ESPECIALLY in that area. Plus, ouch. Even if it isn't serious, maybe he/she will give you some pain killers so you can at least fart without pain! That would be super annoying!0
