Loneliness & Weight Loss?

I’m starting my weight loss journey and am about 1 month in and down close to 20lbs. I am feeling extreme lonely though. I’m happily married, have great friends, great kids but since I’m not eating as much or as often it feels like I’ve lost a best friend.
Is this normal? Am I the only one? Some days are super hard.

Sounds to this newbie like you're an emotional eater. But that's based on very little information in just a short paragraph, so you'd have to say if that was part of your weight gain?0 -
I don't feel like I lost a good friend, stabbed me in the back. Overeating was so destructive, ready to trade it in for healthy sensible eating and find other stuff to do besides eat. Tired of waking up feeling guilty and disappointed. That was not a very good friend.3
