Calorie goal

Hi, I’m 12 stone and 5ft 3 (so very much over weight at the minute!!) My daily, calorie goal is currently 1630. I thought this was really good until I noticed many others at much less (between 1100-1400 seems to be the average). Am I consuming too much? Any advice welcomed. TIA

Are you losing weight on your calorie goal, at a rate you’re satisfied with? If so, then what’s the problem?
You will probably have noticed that a lot of those people with much lower goals are also queried to make sure their goals aren’t too low. People tend to go into weight loss fast and hard, hit a wall of tiredness and hunger, and then give up. This is one reason why it’s a good idea to focus on your own journey rather than worry about what other people are doing5 -
Sounds like you are doing fine and that your current intake is appropriate for you.
I lost most of my weight while eating an average of 2000 calories and I’m only slightly taller than you at 5’4.5”.

I noticed by me changing my goals to a pound a week it changed my calories to 1490 and i am losing much more than a 1200 calorie day! I am 5'2 and lost already 68 pounds . I am glad i played with my goal intake. I wish every the very best on your journey!3
