I'd guess likely 600. It looks really tasty, though.

Forks, though, don't tend to vary as much.

and that is a wooden disposable fork so it is hard to tell, if its supposed to be like those small individual pies (I'm thinking Mr Kipling and they run at around 225) but if its much bigger then it could be as much as 600 like you suggested.

Something did look off about that fork. Wooden, you say? I've never heard of Mr Kipling, either. Walmart's bakery sells small apple pies that run around 300 calories, too - but they don't stand so tall. It's really the pastry that makes it so tricky. But where do you live that wooden disposable forks are a thing? Or maybe I just live under a rock?

Its normal sized, like a piece of pie. However , I ate the crust and removed 3/4 of the fillings.

If you dont have access to a food scale at the time and the item came without packaging saying its weight - just guess and move on....

As others say, log an amount, say 400 calories and move on. There's no problem having treats like that, if we consistently have a calorie deficit, we lose. I save around 200 calories every day to have something sweet, usually chocolate.

    No clue.
It looks to be the size of a custard cup, but I can't tell.
How thick is the pastry? How sweet is the filling?
You could make a pie that size with very thin pastry and plain apples with only a teaspoon of cinnamon sugar, and it might be as little as 200-300 calories. Or it could be thick pastry and heavily sweetened apples, and be 500-600 calories.

I'm from the UK, they're trying to get away from plastic more and more to save the environment so there is a rise in wooden forks for take out food.

Usually the "wooden" forks are made from bamboo, I think.

Doesn't sound very environmentally advantageous to use actual wood...unless the UK is awash in trees. Bamboo is a fast-growing renewable resource, though.

I think the pie is 400 calories. That's what I'd log.

Usually these forks are from sustainable sources and also they're biodegradable. There's a big push to cut down on single use plastics over here, I now have to feel guilty if I use a plastic straw!
