Feeling Confused.. I hate feeling like this.

so are you a chef? I'd say you're underestimating your caloric output at work. Try eating more, say bump up your allowance by 200 for a week and see how you go. BUT eat real, fresh stuff instead of highly processed diet foods.
MINI STORY. I spent 3 months eating lite & easy frozen meals. I went to the gym regularly and lost a measly 3kg in that time. I was ALWAYS HUNGRY and craved all the junk food. So I switched my diet up completely to a combination of paleo/primal/clean eating and dropped 4kg in 4 weeks without going to the gym. No cravings, no hunger pangs, no calorie counting.
....im not eating frozen meals.
I serously want to scream... then i want to cry... or maybe just cry because i feel like ive changed everything i am, and unless i go out into the @#$%^ing woods and shoot my own animals and eat them raw, im never gonna lose weight. besides bread and margarine, i cook everything i eat. so you know what... screw it. I quit.
I didn't say you were eating frozen meals just that I was eating a meal plan of 'diet food' for ages with no results, and i see some things in your diary that remind me of that.0 -
I'd put your activity to lightly active, make sure you weigh everything you eat properly, and eat half your calories back when you workout.
And make sure you're set to lose 1 lb a week, not 2. 1340 seems very low, honestly, if you're 200 lbs.0 -
I agree that this is hard. It's the hardest thing I've ever done, and I want it so bad....I get frustrated too, especially when I reach out to get advice and end up more confused than ever! That said, we are only human. And we are ALL different. What works for one might not work for the other...Even if you and I were the same height and weight, we couldn't, and wouldn't, lose the same way because our cheminal make up is different.
I've lost 57lbs. And haven't lose anything in 3 months. NOTHING. (**To be fair, I started training for a half-marathon, and as a result, changed the way I was eating bc I can't ask my body to run 50km a week and not fuel it properly...)
I started taking my measurements. People say muscle weighs more than fat. I disagree. They weigh the same, but they LOOK different....In the first 2 weeks of taking my measurements, I lost 7 inches. But the scale was the same.
I don't have any food or nutrition advice for you....BUT TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS. If ofter 3-4 weeks nothing has changed, they you are doing something wrong. But my guess is that you'll see lots of changes....:)
(I measured my neck, chest, bicep, waist, hips, thigh, calf...)

If I can do it, you can do it. If you choose to eat diet products, there is nothing wrong with that. You need to figure out what your body needs and stick to it. It may take closer to a month before you are seeing results, but KEEP at it. Measure your food, calculate EVERYTHING you eat, stay within your calorie range, and you will succeed.
It's frustrating, I know, but I've managed to lose a few pounds using this site, and if I can do it, you can do it too. I work a physical job, but not as long of days as you. I haven't been exercising as regularly because I'm waiting to see if I need back surgery and have a hard time working out, but I am still consistently losing. My advice is DO NOT eat back your exercise calories. My dietician told me not to eat mine back because the whole point is to have a good deficit, and once I followed her advice, it was a loss on the scale every week. Don't quit, stick to it, and you will succeed!0
