Battling a cold and hungry.

Been doing decent with food, but since this dreadful cold I got yesterday, I suddenly feel like I’m not getting enough food. I’m drinking heaps of water but don’t feel statisfed and desperate for sweet junky food.
How to ignore it? I have two kids so I can’t sleep it off.

Me and my family were recently sick and we all had enormous appetites!
I personally chose to eat at maintenance for a week. There's no reason to be hungry when you are sick plus your body may need the extra calories to combat the illness6 -

Don't ignore it, your body is probably trying to tell you to help better fuel your immune system to fight off the infection, it can't do that very well in a deficit.2 -
When I'm sick, I do not worry about calories. I can get back on track when feeling better.0

Don't ignore it. You get hungry when you're sick for a reason. Your body needs fuel to repair and get better. Eat more for a couple of days.0 -
So I have been coming down with a cold and I thought I was imagining the increased hunger. I guess it is real! I have been letting myself eat at maintenance for the past couple days and not worrying about it.0
