Updating Current Weight in MFP Goal Setter is Bittersweet!

Since I've hit my BMI for normal weight (now around 23) updating my weight in the goal setting is a sad affaire! I lose 10 calories a day for each 1-2 lost :P
obviously I am super happy with the progress and achievement! but sad to lose out on 10 calories each time :P
I'm glad I had the heads up from members in previous posts on maintenance and this will definitely impact how far I decide to go! I can't imagine getting to a BMI of 21 :P
I think I'm due for a diet break and truly finding maintenance before deciding where I want to go next. haven't done that since I started in April.

Alright soldier. Get down and give me 20.
There's your 10 calories.5 -
In all seriousness though - the trick is to shrink your deficit as your weight approaches goal. That will actually give you sufficient calories if you do it right. The last ten to fifteen pounds is pretty tedious. I was set at 1600 but I only was able to stay under that about 3-4 days per week. I started finding ways to move more and/or really tightened up the foods I was eating. I was hungry for those months.
That's why I'll not gain back the weight. It was hard, man!5 -
haha thanks. i realize 10cals is low it's just it keeps removing another 10 and another 10 If it only takes 20 push-ups i'd consider that :P or maybe jumping jacks
i've surpassed the "last 5 at this point". My original goal was 130, then 125, then 120 - and i'm now at 120. (I'm 5'1). this is the lowest i've been since i was a child/teen.
i've tightened up logging to include gum (and actually scaled back from like 1 pack a day to 4 pieces a day!) and being honest to a fault (mostly).
i've only been walking for exercise since I had to stop running in January. but hopefully rehab finally works and i can run again or find another cardio.
